Summary: As the Retail Branch Manager at Prime Metal Buildings & Components, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail store. This includes managing staff, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring an exceptional customer service experience. A Branch Manager is also responsible for ensuring the quality production of our products in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the establishment and growth of the branch.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the retail branch.
  • Schedule, manage and oversee manufacturing processes by coordinating production activities, optimizing workflow, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels for metal building materials and components.
  • Train and supervise branch staff.
  • Enforce safety protocols for staff and customers in a metalworking environment.
  • Communicate with offsite colleagues for Administrative, Accounting, Human Resources, and Maintenance needs for the local branch to operate smoothly.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Maintain manufacturing quality and lead times as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in metal buildings/metal industries is preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales and customer service.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of metal building materials and components.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience in setting and achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and suppliers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license as occasional travel may be required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.

  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
