Job Title: Non CDL Driver

Summary: Our Driver is responsible for safely transporting material from our retail store (Amarillo, TX) to customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and outstanding customer service abilities. Will be home daily.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Transport materials from our retail store to designated customer locations.
  • Load materials onto trailer, ensuring proper securing and handling techniques are followed.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license (Non-CDL)
  • Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
  • No DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol/drugs convictions within the last ten (10) years.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions
  • Occasionally exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
