A common misconception regarding wood grain panels from PRIME is that the finish is a vinyl film applied to the surface. While this may be true for other companies, the wood grain panels that PRIME offers are created using a much more advanced process. Printed directly onto the metal using a high-definition printer at nearly 400 DPI, the result is a detailed, high-quality visual backed by a 20-year warranty. This printing process also allows for a wide range of color variations, enhancing the realism of the wood appearance. To make it even more visually convincing, the panels are designed so patterns do not repeat for up to 32 feet. This extended variation helps replicate the natural irregularities found in real wood, such as knots and grain shifts, without obvious repetition, adding to the overall authenticity and visual appeal. Once the high-definition image is printed onto the steel, it is sealed with a solvent-free UV protective clear coat to ensure long-term durability.
Unlike real wood, wood grain metal panels do not require staining, sealing, or repainting.
